In 2003, I took my first yoga class and fell in love with the practice. It allowed me to connect with myself on a new level, and I knew from that moment on, that yoga would become a part of my daily life. Over the years, I explored many different classes and in 2014, I became a certified Hatha yoga teacher at the Lotus Pond in Tampa, Florida. In 2018, I moved to the Asheville area and began leading classes at Yoga in the Park Asheville, as well as at the Biltmore Estate and Chimney Rock State Park.
As a teacher, I continue to be a student of yoga and am constantly inspired to push boundaries and encourage others to step out of their comfort zones. I urge students to leave doubts behind and trust in the unfolding of our practice. Body alignment, breath and movement, and the 8 limbs philosophy are all integral aspects of my teaching style. Above all, I emphasize the importance of stillness and meditation to quiet the mind and eliminate distractions. As my personal practice has evolved, I have come to appreciate the ethical foundations of yoga and aspire to convey the entirety of its teachings to my students, creating an atmosphere of curiosity and a drive to delve deeper. My ultimate goal is to guide students on their individual journeys to self-discovery and growth.
