When it comes to teaching, I can provide online lessons from anywhere in the world and often teach whole families. My curriculum is focused on the fundamentals of playing and reading music, while also offering plenty of flexibility to each individual student. Recitals take place in relaxed home settings, providing students with the opportunity to perform and showcase their skills. Additionally, I support piano students in their participation in NYSSMA festivals by ensuring they are well-prepared for a positive experience.
As a performer, I take great pleasure in performing music that resonates with people. I am pleased to take requests, which can be very meaningful for people to hear a beloved song. Furthermore, my original music is often deemed meaningful, as it captures specific moments or feelings. I truly love my job and feel incredibly grateful for the pleasure it brings. Whether it’s assisting a student with a new concept or witnessing someone’s enjoyment at hearing a song they love, I am reminded of the joy that music brings, reinforcing the passion and purpose I bring to my work.

For a span of two years, Cathy has been imparting her knowledge of piano to my two sons. They were so pleased with her teaching that I decided to take piano lessons as well. I have had experiences with four different guitar teachers in the past, but their teaching methods were either too simple or too complex. Some just gave me tabs and focused solely on chords, while others expected me to memorize notes and instantly play a song perfectly.
However, I have found a teacher who truly has a passion for teaching and also has a professional performance career. Cathy is able to personalize her lesson plans based on each student and can easily adapt to changing needs. Her lessons are incredibly valuable, and I enjoy the challenge and excitement each week.
Cathy also has experience with other instruments and can explain concepts in a way that anyone can understand, regardless of skill level or age. I highly recommend her as a teacher and encourage you to book lessons with her.

Cathy is an excellent teacher! For the past four years, my children have taken piano and guitar lessons with her, and we are extremely satisfied with the results.
