As a certified Suzuki teacher for both violin and viola, Catherine holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. Her extensive experience includes performing at acclaimed venues such as Carnegie Hall, Park Avenue Armory, and Nike. From 2009 to 2020, Catherine worked as a successful freelance violinist and violist in New York City before temporarily relocating to Suwanee, GA, to be closer to her family during the COVID-19 pandemic. Music is a treasured family tradition for Catherine, and she takes great pleasure in sharing the appreciation and happiness it brings with her students.

At a subway station in New York, I had the pleasure of encountering Catherine's music. I was attending a professional conference in NY for the first time and utilized the subway frequently to navigate the city. The musicians who performed in the stations were especially intriguing to me, and I stopped to listen to many of them, each one fantastic in their unique way. On my final day in NY, I found myself stranded in a crowded station with a long wait for the next train. It was during this unexpected delay that I discovered Catherine, playing her violin beautifully. Her music moved me beyond words, bringing me to tears. In that moment, I experienced the most incredible musical performance of my life, one I will never forget. I was fortunate to capture a video of her performance and purchased her CD as a memento of the incredible moment. Though I can't share the overwhelming emotion I felt with anyone, I truly hope I have the opportunity to see Catherine Wynder perform live again one day. Congratulations on your talent and thank you for the unforgettable musical experience.
