Playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the violin, my four year old is simply amazing! I'm also learning and I find Denice's teaching approach to be delightful, as she's always patient and encouraging. Our lessons with her are always highly anticipated by my son and me. Despite being in my fifties and having never touched a violin before, I managed to learn a number of songs within a matter of just a few months. With her extensive years of experience, Denice has become a brilliant teacher for children. When my daughter first started her classes with Denice, she had no prior knowledge of the fiddle technique; but she quickly embraced the style, enjoying the rhythmic, relaxed, and entertaining nature of the music. The dichotomy between fiddle style and classical music offered by Suzuki method further complemented my daughter’s overall music knowledge and expertise. For 7 years, we have been taught by Denice and Carter Suzuki. Our journey began when my child was only 4 years old. I am astounded by the efficacy of the Suzuki Method, which enabled my son to effortlessly learn a new song and master the art of reading music. Furthermore, he has gained the courage to perform in front of an audience, as well as the kindness to encourage and support his peers, leading him to become a leader in his school classes. The skills he has learned under the tutelage of Denice have positively impacted his life in various ways such as enhancing his confidence, discipline, critical thinking, and empathy.
