Prepare to arrive with a hearty appetite as the portion sizes are generously massive and the cuisine is beyond fantastic!! The Chicken sandwich boasted a juicy and plump breast, as opposed to the typical chicken finger. It provided the perfect crispness and seasoning, and was elevated by the assortment of savory sauces and the supple brioche bun. This sandwich deserves a resounding 10 stars! The sampler platter in itself is a filling feast, consisting of scrumptious shrimp, chicken fingers, catfish, hush puppies, and French fries. Even though I had attempted to avoid eating prior to my visit, the delectable options did not cease there. The Chicken and Waffles dish was impeccable. The waffles themselves were honestly some of the finest that I have ever tasted. Combined with the incredibly flavorful chicken yet again... wow! As if that wasn't enough, my wifey raved about the Fried Green Tomatoes which were breaded and fried to perfection, without any greasiness or sogginess. Finally, the topping-loaded Pecan Brownie was outrageously delicious. Absolutely amazing job, Cali Fried!! I unquestionably suggest this establishment.

Cali Fried is one of the best food spots in Southern California, and their chicken is truly exceptional. It's both juicy and bursting with flavor, hitting all the right notes for a delightful meal. Wow, I am blown away! I have been searching for a restaurant that serves authentic southern-style fried catfish and I am thrilled to say that I have finally discovered it. My wife opted for the shrimp and it was definitely worth every penny. The portions are incredibly generous and the flavors are absolutely delicious. I will definitely be visiting Cali Fried on a regular basis. Kudos to Sean and the rest of the team for a fantastic job!

I discovered Cali Fried on DoorDash for pickup and it exceeded my expectations! It's a hidden gem, for sure. I opted for the Surf and Sea box and it was delicious. I couldn't even count the 6 jumbo shrimp because I ate them so quickly. The box also included a large piece of catfish, seasoned fries, hush puppies, and Hawaiian bread. I added breaded okra to my order, which was also perfectly seasoned, hot, and crispy. The food was finger-licking good! The customer service I received when picking up my order was excellent, too. I will definitely return to Cali Fried in the near future.

Although I tend to be generous with my ratings, this meal truly deserves a double five stars. It's made me question my rating system - maybe I'm too positive! Let's bump it up to 6/5, because while it's not quite world-class cuisine, it's certainly better than many other 5-star meals I've had. The fish was rich and buttery, and all of the sauces were homemade with a special kick. The hot sauce pairs perfectly with the chicken, which was cooked to perfection - not dry, juicy, or greasy. The pairing is like discovering the delicious combination of chips and vinegar for the first time - truly a flavor explosion. While this establishment isn't fancy or expensive, it's a definite 6/5 for a regular outing. I challenge you to find a better spot for Southern fried food in the area or even the region - it's unlikely to be anywhere near as good.
