For my laundry room/half bath renovation project, I received bids from five different builders. Builder Land was among the last but it was the only one that suggested tearing up the old flooring and examining the condition of the subfloor. All the other builders proposed adding another layer on top of the two existing ones, which was not what I wanted given that the renovation was prompted by leakage in the old toilet. We eventually settled on Builder Land as they took a keen interest in the finer details of the project. Their bid was well detailed and comprehensive, similar to only one other bid. Additionally, the builder provided us with a list of vendors from whom we could select our cabinets, vanities and countertops. We received a copy of their bill for the items ordered, and there was no markup from Builder Land. Similarly, we ordered our faucets, laundry rack, towel ring, toilet, medicine cabinet, and had them delivered without any markup. In the end, our project cost came in at $11,000 below the next closest bid, and that gave me confidence in Builder Land although I do not usually go with the lowest bid. The work was completed in 10 work days, and the quality of construction was top-notch. The only issue I had during the renovation was communicating with the on-site workers, who were Ukrainian immigrants with limited knowledge of English. However, the owner, Edward, visited frequently to ensure that communication was flowing smoothly between him, his workers, and me. Although I am not a fan of remodeling, I would recommend Builder Land for any such projects.
