Joyce is the ideal trainer for every dog parent; the one we had spent countless hours looking for. We had consulted several trainers before finding Joyce; however, we were yet to discover a trainer as effective as her in using a gentle yet firm approach. After taking our objectives for Beau, our 7lb toy poodle, into account, Joyce developed a well-organized structured plan that empowered us to train Beau ourselves. Her focus was to instill effective training techniques in us, rather than solely training Beau, so that we could reinforce desirable conduct and discourage negative ones consistently, even in her absence. Our dog Beau is a loving pet with an over-protective demeanor towards family members, resulting in incessant barking at visitors and passersby on the street. Joyce assisted us in correcting this undesirable behavior, which was stressful and irritating, and Beau is now our trusty constant companion who tags along everywhere, be it, shops, restaurants, or any other public place. Joyce’s practical and straightforward methodology, coupled with her affection for dogs, make her an excellent resource for every dog parent. Without any reservations, I would depend on Joyce’s expertise and guidance for future pet training because she is a valuable asset to any dog-owning family.

Joyce is an incredible dog trainer! I began working with her when my puppy was just three months old, and as a first-time puppy owner, Joyce provided me with invaluable knowledge. She involved my entire family in her teaching, and was an excellent educator. Joyce immediately helped us establish a pack structure within our home, which allowed for order and consistency. She then expertly guided us through each phase of training, according to a well-structured plan. Additionally, Joyce was always available and responsive between sessions, should I need to reach out for any questions or concerns. I was impressed with her dedication to our training. Prior to undergoing training, my dogs were quite loud and seemed to be in charge of the household. I was in search of a skilled and experienced trainer who could assist me in teaching my dogs to be more submissive and attentive towards me. I was fortunate to find such a trainer in Bred for Life. The training sessions were expertly conducted with a high level of interaction. The training benefited me as much as it did my dogs, and I ensured to use the knowledge gained from each session to maintain the training between sessions. As first-time puppy owners, we sought the expertise of three trainers for our high-energy, pure-bred hunting dog. Despite our positive training techniques, we came to realize that our furry friend required more discipline. With Joyce's guidance, we learned how to assert our authority and within mere weeks, our once disobedient pup transformed into an obedient companion. In July 2021, we welcomed Drake into our family after adopting him from Miami. Despite not knowing much about his past, we quickly learned that he was anxious, scared, and terrified of men, cowering in fear whenever we raised our voices even slightly. Although he eventually began to trust us after a few months of consistency and ditching his crate, we noticed other issues arising like mild food aggression, going to the bathroom inside on the carpet, and dragging us back home during walks. Realizing we needed help, we searched for a dog trainer and stumbled upon Joyce/Bred for Life with her excellent reviews and prompt response to our inquiry. During our first session, Joyce provided us with valuable information about her training techniques, canine behavior, and the importance of consistency. Impressed by her knowledge, we hired her and scheduled regular sessions to work on basic commands and follow-through. Drake immediately warmed up to her and even wagged his tail in excitement whenever she arrived. Joyce not only trained Drake, but also provided us with the necessary knowledge to become effective leaders and show him love, security, and proper behavior. Although initially reluctant, we eventually grew to trust the e-collar after much encouragement and guidance from Joyce.
