I am content with the roof's architecture shingles, chimney flashing, and over-sized gutter (with a 6" gutter guard). The BNF crew did an outstanding job, particularly the gutter specialist. I was present during the entirety of the roof work (from 8 am to 8 pm), overseeing each step, the product brand, and replacing damaged wood desks. After completion, I inspected the attic and ensured all the bathrooms and kitchen hoses were fully connected to the roof vents. Unfortunately, I discovered one host that was not connected, which I fixed myself. The roof on my home, which is slightly over 1000 sqft, was finished in 12 hours, while the gutter and chimney flashing took another week. It is crucial to know the needs of your home, especially if the basement is leaking; you may require a gutter immediately, such as in early spring or late fall. Our choice to work with BNF was due to Rick's detailed responses to all my inquiries and their reasonable pricing. Some critical points to note when working with contractors are that investing in a good roof is essential, and it should not be taken lightly. Contacting insurance to get an estimate can be helpful. It is crucial to not trust or use public adjusters as they are all scams. Request the first payment when the contractors are working on your roof, and discuss your budget beforehand to eliminate wasting anyone's time. If you are cheap, contractors may cut corners to save costs; conversely, asking for a discount may lead to similar outcomes. Always check every detail, and ensure the contractor is licensed and insured. City codes must follow the use of ice and water shield, and it is crucial to know how to register for warranty. Every part should also be under a valid warranty.
