The work ethic, communication and transparency of Blue Electric's team was exceptional, instilling confidence in their skills. I selected them to work on my newly acquired property in Teaneck, NJ after receiving quotes from two other electricians, with one being significantly more expensive and the other being around the same price. The detailed breakdown of the quote provided by Baker was impressive, with the exception of the cost for removing the knob and tube wiring, which was estimated fairly by footage since it couldn't be determined without opening walls. The alternative company that I considered charged more and claimed to have paid for the permit before I agreed to the contract, which proved to be manipulation when I discovered no permit had been filed. Furthermore, Baker was more knowledgeable and thorough in the inspection of the work required. Baker even identified insulation wrapping the steam heating pipes as potentially containing asbestos and warned against his crew touching it until it was removed, offering solutions for me to address it. As a homeowner and design business owner, with most of my trade people in NYC, I needed a local and dependable company. Unexpected costs, due to the knob and tube removal and rewiring, were handled with a genuine concern for my welfare as a client, and to have the asbestos removed for the sake of my family's health, which I appreciated.
