As a veteran and a BIPOC, I am dedicated to helping my clients maintain and cultivate a healthy mind and body space. Through the ancient arts and practices of yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic Medicine, I provide them with the tools they need to achieve optimal health physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Although yoga is commonly seen as a form of exercise, its original purpose is to help achieve liberation through stillness of the mind. By practicing authentic yoga, you can refine your mental processes, eliminate physical and mental toxins, and blockages. A healthy mind leads to a healthy body, which contributes to a healthy lifestyle, including healthy relationships, healthy eating habits, healthy perception, and healthy decision making.
I have been a consistent student of yoga for three years and received my teaching license from a rigorous program located in Bali under the guidance of a well-advanced Guru. My experience as a nurse for eight years, ranging from detox, in-home care for children with developmental disabilities, experience in the correctional system, and hospice has provided me with the skills to understand and help my clients better.
As an Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner, I also offer Ayurvedic counseling in my sessions upon request. With Ayurveda, I can help you achieve optimal health with a focus on life preservation, disease prevention, and spiritual advancement through diet, herbs, and lifestyle counseling.
I provide personalized yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic counseling services tailored to each individual's elemental makeup. No one practice suits all since we all have different needs, restrictions, strengths, and goals in our lives.
The beauty of practicing Yoga lies in its transformative nature. Through self-reflection during each asana, breath, sensation, and thought process, you can discover your true nature and become more aware of your consciousness and spirit. Self-mastery can be achieved by monitoring mental processes and remaining undisturbed in the face of challenge and change.
