Hello there!
My name is Proctor and I have over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and I absolutely love it. Throughout the years, I have worked in various settings such as neighborhood bars in Palm Beach, FL, fine dining establishments, an upscale Colonial Tavern on a plantation in Colonial Williamsburg, VA, a trendy downtown eclectic diner, a yacht and country club in Norfolk, VA and even private dining at San Francisco's celebrated Foreign Cinema. At my first position in San Francisco, I was the Bar Manager at Michael Mina, a two Michelin starred restaurant at the Westin St. Francis, Union Square.
Aside from catering for a large company in San Francisco, I also enjoy the more personal aspect of working with clients of my own. I find it fascinating to watch the transformation of entire spaces during large catering events but enjoy the creative and technical challenge of personal catering. Catering is just in my blood.
With my experience as a Wine Consultant for one of the most popular prime rib restaurants in Richmond, Va. and bartending at high-volume restaurant/bars on Fisherman's Wharf, I am able to adapt my style of service to fit any client's desires.
I prefer to limit my services to parties under 50 because I enjoy the more intimate aspect of providing personalized service. I take pride in ensuring that my clients have the best overall experience possible.
I am flexible and enjoy creating classic or unique libations that fit any party's theme. I am always willing to stay extra hours or assist with other tasks during the event.
I respect my clients' right to privacy and never photograph anything inside or outside of their homes without their permission. I hold a certificate from the International Court of Master Sommeliers, am a member of the American Bartenders Guild and was a Judge for the Governor's Cup (Virginia State Wine Competition). I also hold a valid CA Food Handler's card and current TIPs card (Alcohol safety required by the state).
My bartending fees start at a 4 hour minimum of $400 and extra hours are available at $150/hour for 3 hours then $200/hr for 2 more hours. For food service, there is also a 4 hour minimum at $75/hour for "Casual Food Service" and "Buffet Service". For "The Butler" service, it is $125/hour, with a maximum of 10 guests. At present, I do not carry a Certificate of Insurance (COI).
