Choosing Nate for our dog training was the best decision I made. Our 4-month-old American Bully puppy was causing chaos with her nipping and aggressive behavior, putting my younger children in bad situations and almost leading us to re-homing her. Nate stepped in and gave us practical training tips that relied only on our consistency. The transformation in our dog's behavior was incredible. Nate taught us how to confidently set boundaries and run our household smoothly. The best part? All the training happened in the comfort of our own home! Nate is professional, efficient, practical, and kind, and I highly recommend him for all your dog training needs. Thank you, Nate, for helping us and our furry friend, Joi!

It's truly enchanting to witness the rapid response of my dogs to this positive, non-reward-based training. I feel immensely appreciative for discovering such a skilled trainer.

Discovering Nathan was a tremendous relief for us! He has been an invaluable asset in addressing our aggressive dog problem. We initially attempted to seek assistance from an animal behaviorist, but we experienced significant challenges securing an appointment with them. Furthermore, their services were astronomically expensive, and their advice was completely unhelpful. Shockingly, the behaviorist even suggested punishing our dogs that were attacked for not perceiving the signals. Nathan, on the other hand, was an epitome of professionalism, punctuality, and helpfulness. He was instrumental in facilitating a positive outcome, and his fees were very reasonable. I wholeheartedly endorse Best Friends in Balance.

Nate's expertise in comprehending our dog's behavior has brought us immense joy and his advice has proven to be extremely valuable as we continue with our dog's training. His lessons have been a revelation to us humans and we couldn't be more grateful for his world-class teachings, their affordability, and their significance. It's been a pleasure working with you, Nate. Thank you!

As a first-time dog owner, I reached out to Nate for assistance with my young Bernese Mountain Dog/Great Pyrenees puppy. When I first contacted him, I found my puppy to be a handful to manage, and wasn't confident in my ability to train her effectively. Given her large breed and potential safety concerns, training became a top priority.
From our very first in-person session, I was amazed by the difference I saw in my puppy's behavior. What was once a daunting task became an enjoyable experience, as I noticed my puppy responding positively to Nate's training techniques.
After four sessions, my puppy is like a different dog altogether. Her bad behavior has ceased, and she's become more responsive and enjoyable to walk. I'm grateful for Nate's non-treat based approach to training, which has provided me with valuable insights into dog ownership that will have a lasting impact.
Nate is an expert in his field, providing guidance and answering any questions I have had about my dog. He's flexible with my schedule and makes himself available whenever I may need advice - and is always easy and engaging to work with.
If you're thinking about a dog trainer, I highly recommend working with Nate, even if it just for a few sessions. You'll notice a positive difference in your dog's behavior, and develop valuable skills as a dog owner.
