Even after a decade of being a professional photographer, my aim remains to create art rather than just capturing a likeness in every project I undertake. My goal is to capture an image that induces a smile from the viewer and, a moment later, make them say, "Yeah, THAT's Joe!"
Having my studio in Glens Falls gives me the luxury of being more flexible than most photographers. Although natural light is beautiful and ideal for certain scenarios, my studio provides additional options that work better for others. Rest assured, I can offer you the finest photographic options for your portraits. Additionally, the halls and grounds of the Shirt Factory can provide stunning and unique natural backdrops.
Learning is a never-ending endeavor for me, particularly when it comes to photography! I have completed courses at the International Center of Photography and draw inspiration from legends like Steiglitz, Weston, and ManRay, as well as pioneers like Annie Leibowitz. I peruse portfolios on Flickr and 1X and maintain a set of inspirations on Pinterest that I adapt to my work.
