In addition to Maria's exceptional dance talents, she is an incredible individual overall. In contrast to other top-notch dancers/instructors I have encountered, she remains down-to-earth, approachable, adept at teaching students of all levels, and remarkably kind. Such qualities are uncommon in the dance world. I feel incredibly fortunate that Maria is teaching me how to dance, given the way she leads her life, her sense of humor, and her unique perspective.
