Instead of charging over $1500 to reclaim and re-flare, I had someone else fix the leak. They easily tightened the larger connection on the air handler side, which you could have done. Additionally, while you were charging over $100 per pound of R134a, the person I hired only charged $45 per pound. However, I do appreciate your upfront suggestion to check with others. The person I hired charges higher service call fees, but their hourly rates are more reasonable. They came out the same day as you and fixed the problem for about $465, leaving us with a leak-less cool air system. Thank you for your professionalism and quick diagnosis.
