I possess comprehensive bonding and insurance, and I specialize in providing cat massages - more than just casual petting. The dogs under my care respond well to attention and affectionate strokes. My personal interest in cat behavior modification has led me to acquire two Veterinary Assistant certificates, enabling me to administer medication if necessary.
My commitment to my profession and my charges is demonstrated by my successful completion of a challenging examination consisting of 387 questions from PSI, through which I obtained certification as a professional pet sitter. This credential authorizes me to pet sit any companion animal, regardless of their physical characteristics such as fins, fur, feathers, or scales. Aside from the usual household pets like cats and dogs, I have cared for a plethora of other animals including but not limited to chickens, chinchillas, cockatiels, conures, Bearded Dragons, Leopard Geckos, turtles, Dwarf Hamsters, Guinea Pigs, rabbits, fish, and even a tarantula. My recertification for three-year blocks has been completed twice, once in September 2014 and once in April 2018. I am currently attending online courses to renew my certification in April 2021.
My services are not limited to pet care; I also offer vacation services such as light/curtain rotation, plant watering, and mail pickup, which help preserve the clients' homes' "lived-in" appearance.
I'm unique in that I provide a card from PSI that my clients can use to receive a discount of up to 75% on any animal/human medication they get from a pharmacy, including insulin. Each client and their pets have distinct personalities and routines, and I tailor my services accordingly. I also love exploring new neighborhoods and expanding my mental maps of the areas that I service.
I've had the opportunity to visit homes ranging from multi-story mansions to tiny apartments where there wasn't enough room to swing a cat, but I love what I do and treat each charge with love and care.

For a week, I hired Helene to both feed my middle-aged cat, Ben, and provide him with companionship. As Ben is not used to being left alone, I requested that Helene make two visits per day.
Fortunately, Helene went above and beyond my expectations. Prior to the job, she visited Ben to get to know him and thoroughly understand my specific requests and contingency plans. She even followed up with a summary of our conversation and asked additional questions, proving her commitment to the job.
Throughout my time away, Helene regularly updated me on Ben's progress and their daily activities. Beyond providing meals and cleaning the litter box, she engaged him in stimulating learning activities and gave him plenty of cuddles. Whenever I offered further guidance, she was responsive.
Upon my return, it was clear that Ben had not suffered from my absence. He was calm and behaved as if he had never been left alone. In light of her exceptional professionalism and rapport with Ben, I plan to hire Helene again for a long weekend next month. She is an invaluable resource to me and I would highly recommend her services to others.
