Ryan is an exemplary instructor! He has been instructing me for nearly half a year now. He is adept at teaching you whatever aspect of guitar fascinates you. He has educated me on topics such as composition, fretwork, chording, and more. He is eager to transcribe melodies and join you in the process of discovery. He is a truly exceptional individual!

At the age of 54, I made the decision to learn how to play the guitar and realized that I required an experienced instructor. I witnessed Ryan's impressive guitar skills during his performance at a Roswell club, prompting me to place a request on CrackerJack for guitar lessons. Ryan was the first teacher to approach me, and I have been taking lessons from him on a weekly basis since August 2013. I am more than content with my progress; I have gone from being completely unfamiliar with the guitar to mastering over 20 chords and two songs. Ryan is more than a teacher to me; he is also a friend. If you are interested in learning the guitar, I wholeheartedly recommend Ryan as an exceptional instructor.

With Ryan as my instructor, I embarked on my maiden voyage into the world of guitar lessons, and he proved to be an extremely skillful and engaging teacher. He was exceedingly patient with me, guiding me adeptly through all the rudimentary elements of the instrument while dispensing a wealth of valuable tips and guidance. Ryan was personally affable and always game to collaborate on any aspect of guitar pedagogy that interested me!

Ryan is an exceptional Sherpa, guiding you on your exhilarating journey towards guitar proficiency and appreciation, no matter where you begin. His own mastery of various genres, styles, and techniques, as well as his natural improvisation skills, demonstrates that he has indeed reached the summit himself. Nevertheless, Ryan is resolutely dedicated to helping you achieve your goals and possesses unshakeable knowledge of the path ahead. In the summer of 2013, I began taking lessons with him to learn jazz and musical theory for improvisation. Ryan is skilled at demystifying modes and making sense of notes and patterns across the guitar neck. Step by step, he lays a strong foundation that makes subsequent concepts accessible. Lessons with Ryan are relaxed, and rich in shared ideas, ranging from guitar care to the latest in rock and jazz. Dumb questions you were too shy to ask about music theory, suggestions for improving original songs, or different approaches to practice - Ryan has a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of playing music. Furthermore, he has an innate talent for gauging your progress and listening to your playing, intuitively identifying problems and offering practical solutions. Ryan is an instructor who manages to balance technique and musical inspiration, and is the real deal - a true Sherpa for any musician.

For approximately 10 months, Ryan has been my tutor, and every week I witness myself enhancing and refining my abilities. Despite having had guitar lessons during my teenage years, I desired to resume and surpass my proficiency. Consequently, we recommenced my coaching by covering the rudimentary scales before advancing to the creation of modes. Currently, I have gained mastery to the extent that I can execute any scale and mode both horizontally and vertically on the guitar's neck. Ryan is an exceptional mentor who personalizes the teaching technique to suit each student's needs. I am thrilled to continue my lessons with him, and we even conduct Skype lessons since I have relocated from the Alpharetta/Johns Creek precinct! Enthusiastically shredding! -Andrew Briggs
