Asheville Pictures performed exceptionally well despite the constraints of a narrow venue, capturing magnificent photos at our intimate wedding hosted at an Airbnb. The journey from Texas to Tennessee to visit our relatives turned out to be incredibly memorable. While traveling, I came across a stunning photography account. After many years, my fiancée's grandmother was finally able to rent a house so that the family could travel across the country (and Germany) for Thanksgiving and reunite. My sister-in-law and I had an idea to surprise our grandmother with professional group photos, and therefore searched for a photographer who was able to visit the Lake Norman rental home on Thanksgiving Day for both individual and group shots. Though we had concerns that it would be like school picture day, we were fortunate to hire Asheville Pictures (through CrackerJack) and James, the photographer, made the experience both stress-free and enjoyable. James was exceptionally professional, courteous, and responsive, as he would reply promptly, even within the same hour. We had contracted him for a two-hour slot and hoped to complete the photoshoot even sooner so we could let him go back to his own family's celebration. But, to our surprise, he finished the photoshoot in half the time, as we had prepared a list of shots, avoiding any missed ones and making the process seamless. James was never once rushed and he made the entire photoshoot so effortless that we all were able to breeze through it. After finishing the posed family photos, we offered to release James from his two-hour contract, but he insisted on staying to take some "action" shots of us prepping and enjoying our holiday together. He photographed everyone comfortably, took exquisite shots of our family, turkey frying, and children having a great time, and he did it unobtrusively. He swiftly got us our previews, and he remained respectful when I inquired about any final photo updates. Lastly, we requested some of the unedited photos of a smaller family unit, and James generously agreed and even edited the snaps himself for us. We were beyond touched by this exceptional show of generosity. My fiancée and I were thrilled with James's incredible work that we decided to contract him to be our wedding photographer instead. We strongly recommend hiring James from Asheville Photos, and even if you're not pleased with his work for some reason, he's the type of person who will go out of his way to make it right.

From start to finish, working with Asheville Pictures was an absolute delight. In addition to offering unbeatable prices, the photographer happily fulfilled our specific requests with a smile and went above and beyond for us. Being a same-sex couple was not an issue for him, and he even delivered nearly 400 pictures from our wedding. If you're looking for candid shots of your special day, as well as photos of your venue and guests that you may not have even thought of, this is your guy. We were thoroughly impressed with his work and cannot recommend him enough. From communication before and after the event to the quality of his work, he is just a great all-around photographer and a genuinely nice person.
