Description:

I am passionate about providing positive experiences and emotions to anyone interested in horses and riding, as long as they do not exceed 145 pounds in weight (to ensure my mare's health and happiness). Age does not matter, as I have taught individuals ranging from 3-1/2 years old to 74, including an Asperger's boy who gained significant benefits from riding. Visitors are welcome to tour the stable for free and learn about various aspects of horse care such as housing, maintenance, feeds, feeding, and internal communication. Private lessons are available year-round for maximum benefit and cover English and Western pony-rides and lessons. As an experienced rider and owner of over 25 years, I have been teaching Horsemanship for more than eight years, covering everything from approaching and grooming the horse to riding and post-ride care. I pride myself on being easy-going, patient, kind, and entertaining. The best part of this job is seeing the tremendous smiles on my riders' faces, regardless of age.

For the past 5 to 6 years, Ann has been an exceptional instructor for my daughter's equestrian pursuits. Under Ann's guidance, my daughter has mastered the Western and English styles of riding, thanks to Ann's laser focus on perfecting her technique, and pushing her to surpass her limits. Ann's lessons are engaging and diverse, incorporating trail rides, arena jumping, horse care skills (such as grooming, tacking, etc.), and even occasional competitive riding with peers. Safety is paramount to Ann, who is always watchful during lessons. As someone who is not knowledgeable about horses, I appreciate Ann's patience in imparting her expertise to me. Most importantly, my daughter always leaves her lessons with a glowing smile on her face!

Not only is Ann a superb equestrian, but she is also an exceptional teacher. My daughter began taking lessons from Ann at the young age of 6, and it has always been a delightful experience. Thanks to Ann's guidance, my daughter has gained extensive knowledge. I strongly suggest Ann to anyone interested in finding a skilled riding instructor.
