Alina Miles, The nutrition checkpoint
I tailor a comprehensive treatment plan for each client, taking into account their unique needs. This includes personalized recommendations for diet, exercise, and stress reduction techniques. I firmly believe that a healthy lifestyle can help individuals achieve their health goals, such as maintaining a healthy weight, managing chronic diseases, and reducing stress.
My approach to nutrition is centered around helping clients make healthy choices and enjoy their food. By customizing meal plans based on individual preferences and lifestyles, I ensure that my clients are satisfied and never feel hungry.
My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Science from Perdue University, as well as a certificate in Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's Degree in Nutrition Science, with a focus on diabetes and obesity.
In my in-person counseling sessions, I begin by gathering information on medical history, current medications and supplements, nutrition, and lifestyle. From there, I develop a personalized food plan that meets individual needs. In follow-up sessions, I offer support and guidance to help clients reach their health goals.
For those with busy schedules or those outside the Los Angeles area, I offer virtual counseling sessions via video or phone. Additionally, I provide grocery store tours for those who need guidance on how to read food labels and choose the right foods for themselves and their families.
