My name is Arnav Kapur, and I am a chess instructor. Currently, I teach chess at various after-school programs, summer camps, and private lessons both in and outside of the city. I have a passion for working with children of all ages, and have had major achievements such as drawing with a candidate master and placing highly in the scholastic state championship last year.
At our institute, we follow a structured process to ensure our students become better players. Firstly, we personally identify each student's individual weaknesses and work on them in depth. Secondly, I believe that focusing on these weaknesses and rectifying the problems is the most effective approach for becoming a professional chess player. Thirdly, we customize lessons based on each student's needs. Lastly, we work on improving visibility, calculations, strategies, openings, and variations.

Arnav has been teaching my son Marcus chess since 2020 and has been an incredibly consistent coach. Even amidst the pandemic, Marcus never missed a class.
