For the last decade, Micaela has dedicated herself to animal care, having gained experience in all aspects from dog daycare and training to in-home pet sitting and boarding. Presently, she is training her Belgian Malinois, Nacho, for the Protection Sports Association (PSA) competition. Additionally, Micaela has earned Protection Dog Certificate titles in 2021 for her 8-year-old Belgian Malinois, BJ, as well as her Jack Russel Mix, Scout, in tricks through Do More With Your Dog. Together, Micaela and Scout have earned the Advanced Trick Dog Title and continue to work towards achieving an expert trick dog and stunt dog title. Accredited by Tar-heel Canine Training INC, Micaela is a certified Master Dog Trainer in the following areas – Basic/Advanced Off-Leash Obedience, Behavior Modification, Detection, Tracking, and Patrol. Her ardor lies in assisting pet owners in building an even better relationship with their fur babies and helping them lead a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life.

Within an hour of my contact, Micaela reached out and promptly scheduled a consultation. Throughout our interaction, she displayed kindness, meticulousness, and won over the heart of Charlie. Micaela quickly tackled Charlie's problems such as refusing to wear the harness, fear of kids, leash aggression towards bigger dogs and lack of obedience. Amazingly, in just five sessions, Charlie's behavior turned around. I would undoubtedly recommend Micaela to anyone seeking a dog trainer. Over a year ago, I arranged my initial consultation and have been continuously training with Micaela since. My German Shepherd was highly reactive, posing a risk as a pet. She would unexpectedly snarl and strike out at people, dogs, and even bicyclists. Presently, one would never suspect that she once had this significant problem.
