As a professional commentator and literary essayist, I write for leading publications such as Newsday, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and NPR. My work has also appeared in a non-profit organization and an international European forum.

I taught literature, ESL, and essay-writing at UNC and other prestigious universities. I've judged literary essay contests and taught upper-level writing classes.

I specialize in helping students craft exceptional essays for selective colleges, master's and doctoral programs, law schools, medical schools, internships, fellowships, and scholarships. I'm patient, supportive, and encouraging with all students, from elementary school to professional adults. I provide assistance with high school essays, college essay assignments, research papers, academic papers, theses, and business and literary writing. I also support High School AP English and College Level writing classes.

As part of my emphasis on college prep, I'm a high-level tutor for the ACT/SAT language, reading, and writing. My students are aspiring to achieve scores that meet the requirements for selective colleges. I teach test strategies and concepts that are essential to success. My ACT students typically increase their scores from the 20s to the 30s, and my SAT students have an average increase of 200 points in their verbal scores.

Furthermore, I provide tutoring services for high-achieving students aiming for over 100 on the TOEFL exam and the GRE verbal and essay portion. I can also help students excel in the CARS portion of the MCAT and the verbal portion of the GMAT. I prepare students for the Hunter College High School test, the ShSAT, the SSAT, and the ISEE test. All my students have been admitted to their target schools.

Finally, I prepare students for the annual NYS Common Core ELA exams at all levels. I'm passionate about sharing my expertise and watching my students thrive and expand their knowledge of language and writing skills.
