My private practice was established to provide my clients with exceptional service and shield them from the common legal pitfalls that exist in our heavily litigious society. My professional background includes practicing at renowned law firms and working in-house for a private equity fund, where I honed my skills in corporate transactions, commercial litigation, and employment matters. My scope of practice has now broadened to include real estate disputes, criminal defense, entertainment law, and family law.
Originally from Charleston, Illinois, I graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Language Studies, with a focus on Spanish and French. I went on to earn my law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2014.
I started my career at a Chicago-based law firm, where I worked on multi-billion dollar corporate mergers and acquisition transactions, corporate finance matters, and general corporate formation. I gained invaluable knowledge about the formation of a company, corporate compliance, and transactional and regulatory issues affecting companies of all sizes.
I then accepted an in-house counsel position at a rapidly expanding litigation finance startup, where I focused on corporate acquisitions, compliance matters, and general corporate issues. After the company was acquired by a larger competitor, I decided to return to a law firm and joined a trial boutique firm in Chicago, where I concentrated on commercial and employment disputes. I also branched out to specialize in family law, criminal defense, real estate, and entertainment matters.
When I'm not practicing law, I am actively involved in several legal organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. I also teach as an adjunct professor in the MBA program at Benedictine University and converse fluently in Spanish and French.
