I'm Abe Song, a pianist, composer, and teacher who offers both in-person and online lessons in South Pasadena. In addition to teaching music, I am also fluent in Korean.
With over 20 years of piano experience and a degree in music composition and theory from Boston University, I am well-versed in a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, soul, R&B, gospel, pop, and K-pop. I perform at a variety of events, including hotels, bars, restaurants, corporate events, weddings, and private parties, and I also create music for concerts, films, and video games.
For weddings, I offer a range of versions of the wedding march, including jazz, gospel, soul, R&B, and classical. If you prefer a custom piece for your special day, I would be happy to compose one for you. I am also able to help those in need of music for original lyrics.
My students range in age from five to 75, and I am dedicated to helping them achieve their individual goals. Whether you're interested in mastering music theory to improvise and compose your own pieces or simply learning to play your favorite songs, I am here to help. Additionally, I am experienced in tutoring English, math, SAT, and ACT for school-aged students and adults alike.
