Although my experience is limited to just one morning, I have decided to continue with the classes. My objective is to learn how to fall without getting injured, and I believe I will be able to achieve that with practice. Despite my initial expectations, the class was predominantly attended by girls, most of whom were kids. Mr. Werth was the instructor and had a dynamic teaching style that appealed to children, including the more serious ones. Additionally, Mr. Werth accommodated my age and fitness level, providing light instructions at first to avoid overexertion. It seemed that he even tailored part of the lesson to me by demonstrating how to fall backwards since I was new to the class. Indeed, the other students were much more adept than I was. In conclusion, I confidently recommend Mr. Werth as a skilled and adaptable instructor, who maintains a lighthearted approach to teaching.

At Main Street Martial Arts Self Defense school, I made an unusual request to Michael that initially seemed impossible to fulfill. While the only other class in the area wasn't available for two months, Michael cleverly customized his lesson to cater to my wife and me. With patience, he and his assistant instructor personally guided us through three techniques and stressed the importance of experienced fighters being most competent in self-defense. Through Michael's affable teaching approach, not only did we gain useful knowledge and a brief introduction to self-defense, but we also learned how beneficial it can be to have a general competence in the matter. In just three classes, I have seen a significant positive change in my son's self-confidence, and I can't wait to see what the future holds. It's not just young children who attend the class, but adults too! Sensei Werth and the co-owner manage them all with remarkable skill and patience. I am thoroughly impressed with Sensei's gentle and individualized teaching approach, which differs from my Go-Jo-Ru Karate experience of over 20 years ago. I highly recommend this excellent teaching experience to anyone seeking to learn how to safely and efficiently burn off additional energy.

The Olympic Tae Kwon Do sessions with Abtin Timothy, a Team USA Olympic Gold Medalist, are also expertly taught and thrilling. The community at MSMA is not only fun but incredibly supportive too - Werth Sensei even worked with me to make the monthly price feasible for a full-time student. I highly recommend MSMA, even one class a week can turn a hectic and stressful schedule around.
