My name is Andrea Bridgewater-McCarthy and I have been a dedicated elementary school teacher for over 12 years. While teaching is my first passion, healthcare has always been a close second. My dedication led me to earn a master’s degree in Human Services, specializing in Health and Wellness. I began to ponder opportunities to combine my interests, and teaching CPR seemed like a perfect fit. It has been three years since I started teaching CPR and the experience has been exhilarating. Applying CPR principles and First Aid skills is rewarding, but what I love most is empowering others to be confident in their trained abilities to help those in need. I believe that with my educational background, students not only obtain their necessary certification, but also develop a sense of community and value as an individual. My ultimate goal is to inspire individuals to become life-savers and cultivate a society where more people are willing to step up for the well-being of others.
