Darlene was highly responsive and had excellent communication. She had a scheduled cleaning appointment at 9:30 a.m. but had car troubles that made her arrive approximately 45 minutes late. Prior to her arrival, I had informed her that I needed a deep clean, as it had been years since the last one was done, and she gave me a very reasonable price. Based on her positive reviews, I decided to hire her. During her cleaning, I requested that she wipe down my cabinet exteriors and clean the stove knobs a little more thoroughly. Although she agreed to my requests, she did mention that these tasks were not typically included in a basic cleaning, and that she had already gone above and beyond her usual duties given the price I was paying. Being a non-confrontational person, I didn't say anything. Despite this, I made another appointment with her with the hope that we could work together. However, upon inspection of my home after her cleaning, I realized that the floors were dirty and needed to be swept. Also, the bathrooms were not cleaned properly, and some areas on the floor and end tables in the bedroom were missed. When I pointed these issues out, she told me that my house was not well maintained, and that she wasn't going to spend the whole day cleaning it. Feeling trapped, I didn't know how to respond. As a customer, I shouldn't feel guilty about requesting a job be done properly, especially since this was a deep clean rather than a regular one. Although I wished her the best in her business, I realized that she was not the right fit for me.
