As the founder of 1 Body Strength and Conditioning LLC, I have been active in the health and fitness industry since 2002, having worked for top-rated organizations including LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, Bally's, and Crunch Fitness. For the past three years, I have been committed to delivering one-on-one personal training services, working with clients from diverse backgrounds - from working professionals and children to some of the biggest NBA stars, like Jason Terry-Milwalkee Bucks, Mason Plummlee-Denver Nuggets, Isaiah Thomas-Denver Nuggets, Kevin Garnett (Retired) Minnesota Timberwolves, and Miles Plummlee-Atlanta Hawks.

This trainer deserves 5 stars without a doubt! Collaborating with OJ has been an exceptional choice. He devotes his time to understand your needs and tailor your workout program accordingly. His encouraging demeanor will push you to be better without ever resorting to berating or shouting. I've only been training with him for a month, and I'm already seeing tangible benefits, not just in terms of weight loss but also in how I feel. I would warmly suggest OJ to anyone, regardless of their current fitness level, seeking a coach.

OJ, a renowned personal trainer in Long Beach, manages and owns 1 Body Strength and Conditioning - a gym that seamlessly blends indoor/outdoor exercise spaces. Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, my partner Jenny and I prioritized our safety and aimed to practice cleanliness, sanitation, and social distance during our workouts. Thankfully, the gym checked all the boxes and surpassed our expectations.
OJ's creativity in designing fun, challenging workout routines was impressive. He constantly introduced new exercises and routines, making every session exciting. The gym's music selection boosted our energy and kept our motivation levels high throughout each workout.
Besides being fun, 1 Body Strength and Conditioning maintains an exceptionally clean environment. They conduct temperature checks upon entering and adhere to all Covid-19 requirements and precautions. OJ and his team also provide personalized guidance on meal plans, weight and body fat% assessments, and the latest technology to support our individual goals.
OJ accommodates both Jenny's and my fitness goals by curating specific workouts for each of us simultaneously. Recently, we tried boxing, which was challenging but incredibly satisfying. It was a skill we never thought we'd master!

I had an amazing first experience with the various strength and conditioning programs offered at this facility. It was fantastic that I was able to receive an orientation and discover the workout types without any monetary obligation. Not only that, but Ortege (OJ) kindly arranged for me to have a separate introduction session with my current trainer, Romeje, before committing. Romeje is exceptional; although I am usually not keen on exercising, his training leaves me with an excellent feeling. He attentively listens to his clients and takes note of their comfort levels while encouraging them to surpass their limitations. Undoubtedly, dedicating time and resources to the training program was a wise investment in myself.

Alan and I are incredibly grateful to have been training with OJ for the past two months (and counting)! Due to the pandemic, we were forced to work from home and were furloughed, which meant finding a new trainer was crucial in keeping us healthy and mentally stable. As we live with several generations, safety was our top priority, so we needed to find a gym that followed strict Covid-19 guidelines, as well as one that would allow for in-person training.
OJ has been a fantastic trainer! We see him three times a week and enjoy every session. Each workout leaves us feeling accomplished and sweaty. OJ’s knowledge, versatility and energy are inspiring- he keeps the workouts fun and enjoyable, even if it means trying something a little out of the box.
OJ keeps track of our progress and keeps us accountable without making us feel guilty about our food choices. He also gives us helpful guidance and support on how to eat better and reach our goals. I never would have thought we would be boxing as part of our weekly workout routine, but it has been fantastic! OJ teaches us proper technique, and it's an excellent way to build self-confidence while getting fit.
Overall, we highly recommend One Body Strength & Conditioning for anyone interested in achieving their fitness goals. They are professional, supportive, and always provide the motivation we need to keep pushing ourselves.
