As a former high school teacher with 31 years of experience, I had the pleasure of hosting Ennis as a guest speaker in my classes for over a decade. During his visits, he covered topics ranging from the dangers of drinking and driving to matters of the heart. Despite his appearances being unpaid, Ennis would come every semester for one or two full days to engage with my students. His presentations were a rollercoaster of emotions, with moments of both laughter and tears. He is an exceptional speaker who conducts himself with grace and charm, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know him.

As a Fire Captain, I had the pleasure of working alongside Ennis, who was assigned as a Paramedic at Station 15 and later Station 31. Paramedic Jackson, on the other hand, worked with Hartson and then the AMR ambulance service. Together, we responded to countless 9-1-1 calls, estimating our partnership to span over 15 years. Ennis stood out as fearless, particularly when it came to the most serious medical emergencies. He is undoubtedly the best acute care medic I have ever worked with. Meanwhile, Paramedic Jackson was exceptional at quickly getting his patients to Trauma Centers, ensuring access to life-saving treatment. Ennis and I worked on numerous critical cases, including stabbings, shootings, and vehicle accidents, resulting in the best care possible for our patients. Over my 35-year career, which includes 16,000 9-1-1 responses, Ennis Jackson remains the best Paramedic I have come across. His professionalism and genuine care for his patients always stood out. It is worth noting that Ennis is involved in charity work and off-duty, he has developed programs aimed at helping young students become better citizens by educating them on the dangers of drugs and alcohol. His personal tragedies have given him a unique insight, which he shares with his students, and it would be hard not to be moved. Ennis is a wonderful man with exceptional talents that he has used to help others, and his work with young people is particularly commendable.
