JP Presley Guitar Lessons

Since starting to play guitar three years ago, JP is my second guitar teacher. Learning to play the guitar has been particularly challenging for me, as I picked it up later in life, in my fifties. Strengthening and moving my fingers independently and quickly has been a notable struggle. As of now, I've had three lessons with JP, and I'm happy to say that I've enjoyed working with him tremendously thus far. He has done an excellent job of including the music I love and utilizing diverse songs and exercises to aid me in learning new chord shapes, timing, and transitions. His follow-up is profoundly beneficial, as he recaps the lessons and gives me "homework" for the week. The audio files he sends me to play along with suit my learning style perfectly, and I find them incredibly useful. Although our teacher/student relationship is still in its beginning stages, I'm extremely content with JP's tutelage, and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with him. Another bonus is that JP has a personable, laid-back demeanor, which is essential to me.

I have just commenced my learning journey with JP and I must say, I am truly amazed by his teaching approach. JP devises a lesson plan and diligently guides me through it step-by-step. What's more, he has a helpful habit of sharing notes with me, encapsulating the concepts we covered during the lesson, the topics discussed, and the chords learned. This note is regularly updated after each session and will prove to be a valuable tool to monitor my progress and to revise previously learned material. I must add, JP is knowledgable and always available to assist in any way possible.

JP is an exceptional instructor who dedicates his time to comprehend the student's current situation in their guitar expedition and guiding them towards setting objectives for their forthcoming progress.

For more than a year, I have been receiving lessons from JP, and he is exceptional! His superior planning skills enable him to design lessons uniquely tailored to your needs and aspirations. I have not only developed into a better guitar player, but also enhanced my overall musicianship through his guidance!

For approximately half a year, I have been collaborating with JP, and I have experienced the swiftest advancement in my skills as a guitar player ever since. JP is adept at devising enjoyable, captivating, and efficacious lesson curricula. I am particularly fond of his ability to simplify intricate theoretical aspects and furnish real-life demonstrations of their practical application. Additionally, JP is a personable and affable individual, making him an excellent tutor and a great companion to spend time with. In fact, he has even shown up to attend some of my performances. I anticipate working with JP further!
