About
Jenny, a former vet tech, and co-founder of the Charleston Working Dog Club, has a profound love for animals, irrespective of their shape or size. She is experienced in training and working with dogs of all temperaments and needs, and she has a unique skill for creating a connection with difficult animals through her lighthearted and patient approach.At BeastMode Dog Training, we specialize in training and environmental desensitization for young dogs and high drive/working breeds. We take pride in creating a strong bond and understanding between dogs and their owners, which is why we limit our private lesson schedule to accommodate 1-2 board and train campers into our home at a time.
We offer a free evaluation of your dog to assess them, understand their problems, and formulate a training plan that suits their needs. Our customized training programs include private lessons, board and train programs, handler coaching, advanced behavioral modification, environmental desensitization, socialization and financial support.
Board and train programs are similar to a camp for your pup, where they are given four training sessions per day in addition to at least one excursion per day to work on distractions and environmental stimuli. Our structured training includes core obedience and manners, addressing problem behaviors and proofing in distracting environments, and getting past fears.
Upon completion of the training, you will receive one-on-one coaching with us and your dog. We provide all the necessary tools that we use during your dog's training to help ensure continued success. Additionally, we offer life-long phone and text support and free coaching for you and your dog.

Within just the first 20 minutes of meeting Jenny and Morné, I knew that I could write a glowing review about their training expertise. When they arrived at our house, they immediately sat down with my wife and me on our kitchen floor to discuss their techniques and engaged with our Beagle, Izzy, for the first time. It's impossible to put into words the incredible experience that you and your dog will have by working with these two remarkable individuals, who possess an unmistakable love and compassion for dogs.
After working with Jenny and Morné, Izzy returned home with a completely new set of skills, and we are eager to continue developing them. They corrected several of her previous bad behaviors (which had admittedly been the fault of the humans), and taught us how to address them should they persist in the future.
From my own experience, having a well-behaved dog requires a significant amount of work. However, I firmly believe that anything worth having is worth working hard for, and investing in the expertise of these two individuals is absolutely worth the cost. With their knowledge, they will not only work with your dog but also love them just as you do. The transformation truly lasts a lifetime!

I've owned German Shepherds my whole life, but none were as challenging and strong-willed as Maverick. He's intelligent and familiar with all the needed commands, yet he only completed them when he felt like it, which was frustrating for both of us. However, after discovering Jenny and Morne', things changed. Maverick returned home after just a fortnight as a different dog. He's now much more relaxed and reactive to commands. I think that Morne's use of clicker training was positive reinforcement and helped Maverick learn to focus. Initially, I was hesitant about Maverick's 2-week departure. Nonetheless, I discovered that he would be living with Jenny and Morne's family of children and dogs, not just kenneled. Morne' took him outdoors frequently to face external distractions to help him concentrate on the trainer and directives. When they returned Maverick to me, they spent time explaining and instructing me on how to deal with him. They stayed a little longer to view how Maverick and I worked together, providing advice on how I could improve my work with him. It was unmistakable that Jenny and Morne' care deeply about dogs. They're kind, optimistic, and content working with and training dogs. I have no regrets in retrospect about committing to this training and am ecstatic with the outcome.

BeastMode provides the best dog training services and I highly recommend them! Jenny and Morné are exceptional trainers who showed immense love and care for our dog Deebo. Their expertise on training dogs was evident from the start. Jenny kept me updated with Deebo's progress and she even sent us a lot of videos and pictures. They patiently answered all our questions about Deebo and we couldn't have asked for better trainers. To our amazement, our pitbull was trained in just one week! After the training, BeastMode equipped us with the necessary tools and knowledge to continue training Deebo on our own. Walking Deebo on a leash is now much easier and we can take him to public places without any issues. Thank you so much, BeastMode!

To find a trainer who can deliver great results while also showing love to your pet, Beastmode is the one to call! In just seven days, they transformed my energetic 9-month-old Rottweiler into a calm, obedient companion who can comfortably walk on a leash with ease. The improvements are remarkable, and I feel content knowing that my pet was well-cared for during the training period. With field trips and even a visit to Santa, my furry friend had a fantastic experience at Beastmode.

Jenny and Morne did an outstanding job with our furry friend, Caymus. When I first contacted them, I was struggling with dog sitting Caymus - a Bernese Mountain Dog Puppy weighing 90 pounds. He would pull me down the street, refused to heel, and would barge through doors, exhibiting a selfish attitude. Caymus would only sit when he felt like it, and my patience was wearing thin. So, I took a chance and asked my son and daughter-in-law if they would mind sending him to "training camp." They readily agreed.
Jenny and Morne worked with Caymus for two weeks, teaching him proper manners. They taught him how to walk nicely, heel, not rush through doors, and follow commands like "sit" and "down." This was done with positive reinforcement, which only rewarded him for performing a command, rather than punishing him when he didn't. It felt like something straight out of "Caesar The Dog Whisperer" kind of training.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends and would entrust them to do it again with other dogs who exhibit bad habits. Frankly, I would call Jenny and Morne before bad habits set in with other dogs. They are an excellent team of trainers!
