Karen is an exceptional instructor, who is an absolute pleasure to work with. Her genuine, easy going, professional demeanor coupled with her firm yet tactful teaching style make her a standout instructor. My 13-year-old daughter began lessons with Karen approximately one month ago, and already she feels as though she has improved significantly more than she has in an entire year at her previous barn. Karen specializes in English riding, with a focus on hunter jumper, as my daughter's goal is to compete in show jumping. Throughout the entire lesson, Karen is completely engaged, monitoring every aspect of posture and technique with constant feedback and instruction. She is incredibly supportive, striking a careful balance between constructive criticism and praise in order to improve her students while also boosting their confidence. I highly recommend Karen as she is the best instructor my daughter has had, and we are both incredibly grateful to have found her.

The riding academy offers exceptional instruction and top-notch horses. My experience at other similar establishments around the Bay has been lackluster, with tired horses who show little enthusiasm for their work. However, at this academy, the horses are clearly happy and well-cared for, responsive to commands, and eager to perform. Karen, my instructor, is both knowledgeable and patient. Thanks to her, I now know how to properly rise on the right diagonal and use inside and outside rein aids to maintain a bend in my horse when circling.
