It is highly recommended to consider Bark Busters for your beloved pet. Jef took the initiative to comprehend our training objectives and identify underlying problems with our dog before commencing any training. As a result of our initial meeting, we gained better insight and preparation to accomplish enduring outcomes with our pup. Jef possesses both expertise and a friendly demeanor, which is a powerful combination. I strongly endorse his services.

Similar to many others, I decided to adopt a COVID-19 puppy. As someone who places a lot of importance on professional training, I faced difficulties finding in-person classes due to the pandemic. Therefore, I took an online program, which helped me learn certain basic techniques but failed to provide overall obedience training. Consequently, I reached out to Barkbusters to help advance Wally, my 18-month-old puppy, to the next level. Wally was quite anxious when separated from me, and his excessive excitement made some members of my family uncomfortable. As the holidays approached, I needed to find a solution.
Jef from Barkbusters was extremely responsive and presented me with two different packages. After deliberation, I opted for the Gold package as it promised long-term success. One of the reasons I chose Barkbusters was because of their methods. They do not use shock or choke collars or rely on treats. In contrast, my past experiences with dog training involved the use of choke collars, which I found to be unkind, as did my dog. Although I had also used sleepaway camp training, I found that my dog took longer to respond to it.
Barkbusters' training philosophy centers around verbal cues and body language. One has to retrain their brain as quickly shifting from low to high vocal ranges can be necessary. However, it is effective! I was amazed at the results after just one session. Behaviors that I had difficulty controlling earlier are now under control, and Wally responds to me instantly. It is worth noting that Jef trained me more than he trained Wally. One has to be willing to put in the work and consistently reinforce the training.
Our training is not yet over, but I am eagerly looking forward to our next session! I would highly recommend Barkbusters to anyone looking for positive, effective dog training.

My Yorkie puppy is quite a handful and my 15-year-old Yorkie is losing his eyesight. Along with typical puppy shenanigans, Monkey was causing distress for my elder dog Kelso and had a tendency to bolt out of open doors. Jef instructed me on how to effectively convey the rules to both pups, and I now possess the necessary skills to ensure Monkey's security and enhance the dynamic with my aging canine.

Upon receiving numerous complaints from my neighbors regarding Topher's incessant barking during my absence for work, I decided to seek assistance from Bark Busters. Topher, an 18-month-old Pitbull rescue whom I adopted six months ago, was left at my home for five days a week as I was obligated to return to work. Jef, the trainer from Bark Busters, visited my home and concluded within a brief span that Topher was battling separation anxiety, which made sense to me. After the initial visit, I noticed positive changes, and my neighbors haven't reported any barking since Jef began training Topher. Currently, Topher is responding well to the training, and after two visits, the progress is commendable.
