Greetings, I'm Garrett McGinn - a Musician & Educator - and I'm eager to assist you in achieving your musical aspirations. My areas of expertise are Bass & Guitar and I provide an extensive range of courses, including but not limited to: ear training, music theory, reading and writing, improvisation, instrument upkeep, and much more.

For over 15 years, I've taught diverse learners, including those with learning disparities, ADHD, and those on the autism spectrum. My objectives for all students at Alberta Street Music School are to foster a sense of safety, support, and positivity.

Learning from Garrett is a lot of fun. I never feel rushed or embarrassed in his company. Plus, his space is super cool.

For more than three years, our son, who is now ten years old, has been receiving guitar lessons from Garrett. Throughout this time, Garrett has successfully merged intensive music theory and pedagogy with the fun that keeps our son captivated. Our son's improvement has astounded us, and we joyously listen to him play as a family. Moreover, Garrett has mastered communication, updating us with parent check-ins while keeping our son focused. Our child eagerly anticipates his musical classes!
