About
Greetings! My name is Tatyana Wright, and I am a certified piano teacher with over 20 years of experience in teaching classical piano and music theory. I specialize in the RCM music development program and always aim to inspire my students to trust their own unique musical creativity. Whether you're a child or an adult, I love working with students of all ages and strive to make piano lessons a form of expression rather than a chore. My ultimate goal is for students to develop a love for music and view piano as a means to unleash their creativity. Every student has their own learning style, and I enjoy catering to those individual styles and unique characteristics. As a passionate and dedicated teacher, I believe that a student's success is rooted in enthusiasm, interest, curiosity, passion, patience, diligence, and dedication. My teaching style involves getting to know each individual student and providing them with a comfortable learning environment where they can establish healthy practice habits, gain overall confidence in their abilities, and learn basic music theory.

Tatyana is an exceptional piano instructor for both of my daughters. My eleven-year-old daughter admires her precision and warmth while enjoying the challenging curriculum of the Royal Conservatory program taught by Tatyana. Within a year, she accomplished Level 2 and is now enthusiastically working towards Level 3. Tatyana also displays expertise in handling my hyperactive six-year-old daughter, who started playing the piano last October, completed Prep Level A, and is now diligently working on Prep Level B.
I must mention that Tatyana has been highly flexible and accommodating in scheduling classes to suit our needs while seamlessly transitioning from in-person classes at her studio to online lessons during the COVID-19 pandemic.
All in all, Tatyana is an adept and empathetic teacher who nurtures significant musical growth in her students. I highly recommend her services!

Mrs. Wright emphasizes the importance of building a solid piano-playing foundation. During each lesson, she instructs and guides on finger placement, posture, tempo, dynamics, and music theory. She skillfully motivates my sons to surpass their comfort zones. In a remarkably brief timeframe, my boys have gained an impressive amount of knowledge and skill.
