For approximately two years, I've been receiving lessons from Ed Lanthier, who has significantly assisted me in advancing as a guitarist. He educates me on the theory, techniques, and correct form for every song I bring in or that he recommends according to my skill level and areas of interest. Frequently, he allocates time during our sessions to verify that I've retained previous lesson material and provide exercises to enhance my overall playing ability, in contrast to solely focusing on learning new songs. I wholeheartedly endorse him to anyone who wants to improve their playing or those who are new to the instrument and want to learn.

After a month of taking lessons with Ed, I can confidently say he is an outstanding teacher. Despite playing the guitar for many years and learning from multiple instructors, Ed has introduced me to theoretical concepts that others did not cover. Ed is an excellent teacher of guitar and his passion is infectious. He is a skilled musician with a well-trained ear, and he has a talent for balancing music theory and song practice. Ed's lessons have exposed me to different music genres which I love. What I appreciate most about his teaching style is that it does not rely on traditional books or materials. Instead, he uses diagrams and music notation to guide me through the lessons, which is incredibly helpful. Moreover, he encourages his students to record their lessons to review them later. Overall, I highly recommend Ed as a fantastic guitar teacher.
