Greetings! My name is [Name], and I am a seasoned English Instructor, Writer, and Tutor with extensive experience in Maryland's public school system, specifically in Maryland County Public Schools (MCPS). I have worked with students of all age groups, ranging from K-12, but I presently specialize in tutoring high school students at "one of the W schools."

I possess a passion for writing, and I can assist you with numerous writing-related tasks, including but not limited to, crafting a creative writing piece, working on your resume, writing blog posts, or even proofreading a single project that requires a professional touch.

I am qualified to offer tutoring services in On-Grade-Level, Honors, and Special Education classes in both reading and writing, as well as Advanced Placement (AP) courses, including AP Language and Composition ("AP Lang") and AP Literature ("AP Lit").

I am flexible in my approach and can tailor our sessions to suit your specific needs, whether that involves meeting once a week, every day or just for one-off help with an essay or report.

In terms of my educational background, I hold a dual degree in Communication and Psychology, achieving high honors at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1986.

Before transitioning to my current profession as an educator, I worked as a Mediator in the corporate world for several years. This experience has equipped me with valuable skills in conflict resolution, attentive reading, precise writing, and active listening.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, including my amazing husband, two adult children, and my beloved canine companion, Ella.
