Today, I held a meeting with Laura to discuss a project I am currently working on. Although she was kind, it became apparent that she did not thoroughly read the detailed email I sent to her beforehand. During our conversation, she posed several questions that had already been answered in the email. Even though I had informed her via email that the building was located within a historic zoned district, Laura lacked experience in this area. Furthermore, if she had provided advanced notice that she charged a $175 consultation fee and disclosed the services her clients would receive during the consultation, it would have been more transparent. Sadly, I feel as though I received nothing after paying for her services. After consulting with an experienced architecture firm, it became clear that Laura's services would have resulted in me being overcharged and disappointed.
