NY Standard Jazz Ensemble

Last Friday, I was fortunate enough to join the NY Standard Jazz Ensemble on drums for an open jazz jam session at the Sentry Flatiron. David and the talented house band members were incredibly supportive of all the musicians who joined them on stage. The evening began with an outstanding warm-up set by the house band. Throughout the night, I played several songs, and other musicians and singers were also welcomed on stage. The band was well-prepared and skillfully accompanied every player who joined them. It was great to see jammers of all levels, and the charts provided were helpful. The Sentry Flatiron offers an intimate setting with excellent acoustics and a fun bar. The audience was engaged and appreciative of the performers. I'm definitely looking forward to returning and jamming with this group again.

A little while back, I participated in a show and musical collaboration hosted by the NY Standard Jazz Ensemble. The performers were incredibly talented, and they displayed an impressive ability to play in unison. The selection of songs they performed included some exceptional jazz pieces and catchy tunes alike. It was a truly enjoyable experience.

It's impossible to convey just how delighted we were with the NY Standard Jazz Ensemble! They completely wowed our guests and delivered everything we had requested with exactitude. They were punctual and wonderfully courteous, and David proved himself to be an exceptional band leader and pianist. Their vivacious and peppy tunes brought an unbelievably great vibe that left us eager for the next chance to invite them back into our home.

The NY Jazz Ensemble, led by David Paige, completely impressed me during my recent visit to Sentry – Flatiron's incredible rooftop bar and restaurant. I had the pleasure of joining the group on several songs and was thrilled to witness their unquestionable talent firsthand. Throughout the first half of the evening, the group of gifted professional musicians played several sets of timeless jazz standards with an unparalleled level of unpretentious skill. Following this, David invited members of the audience who had signed up online via his Meetup jam websites weeks prior to join in on the fun. With an open and supportive approach, the pros welcomed each "guest" to perform songs of their choosing, resulting in a one-of-a-kind musical event that I will never forget.

The NY Standard Jazz Ensemble comprises of exemplary musicians. Their exceptional music, reliability, courteousness, and professionalism are praiseworthy. Without any reservations, I strongly encourage considering them.
