About
Chris Mell is now offering online lessons to those interested in learning from the comfort of their own homes. For those who are unsure about online learning, Chris is offering one free online lesson. Each week, students will receive personalized videos of their assignments, music, and other important information. Chris Mell has over 30 years of drumming and teaching experience and has taught students of all ages in various drumming styles. He focuses on enhancing stick technique and control, teaching the 40 snare drum rudiments, drum set coordination and technique, and different drum set styles. Additionally, students will receive customized YouTube videos and fun assignments to track progress with a practice journal. Chris Mell graduated with a Bachelor's in Music with a Jazz Emphasis and has studied with prominent musicians worldwide. He currently resides in Milwaukee and is a member of various bands and companies. In-person lessons are also available in the Milwaukee area. As a fresh drummer, I have been attending drum lessons for a couple of weeks only. As an "elderly" trainee, I had doubts about whether online lessons would be suitable for me. However, Chris is highly efficient in presenting the topics in a manner that I can easily grasp. In our sessions, we focus on fundamental aspects, and Chris goes the extra mile to illustrate how our lessons are fitting in the context of a band (since I'm part of the rock band category, playing as the bassist). It has been an incredibly advantageous experience so far. Regardless of your musical expertise, I strongly suggest Chris as your tutor.
