Devoting my life to teaching others is my calling. Prior to becoming a Certified Professional dog trainer, I spent years as an educator and school principal. Combining my passion for teaching and love for dogs, I educate owners on how to establish nurturing, positive relationships with their furry companions. My extensive experience in dog rescue and shelter work as a kennel, foster home, volunteer coordinator, and board member for WAMAL (Washington Alaskan Malamute Adoption League) provides me with practical, hands-on skills to manage even the most challenging dog behaviors.My devotion to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing dogs is only matched by my commitment to establishing mutually respectful bonds between pet owners and their dogs. Over the course of 7 training sessions, Julie proved to be an incredible resource for us. From the first days of bringing our puppy home, we felt overwhelmed, but Julie's expert recommendations helped us regain confidence in our training and handling abilities. Later, we consulted with her again to address some concerning behaviors, such as jumping on the countertop and biting. Thanks to her invaluable tips, these problems were resolved in just a couple of days. Before the pandemic hit, we welcomed a puppy into our family. Unfortunately, Covid caused our puppy classes to be canceled. Although our furry friend was enjoyable to have around, she wasn't easy to take for walks and didn't know any commands. We had hoped to bring her to new and exciting places like parks and restaurants, but we faced a series of frustrating experiences, forcing us to quit. Luckily, we stumbled upon Julie, and she managed to teach us how to train our dog using only humane and gentle methods. As a result, we now feel much more comfortable and confident taking our dog along with us wherever we go!
