iPhil Piano Studio, Pianist, Composer，Songwriter

iPhil Piano Studio is situated in Irvine, California and boasts a faculty with Master’s or Doctoral Degrees in music. The faculty members are patient, responsible and passionate, and their teaching style is flexible to cater to individual needs. The studio provides music theory, piano and composition lessons for writing songs. The following are faculty members at the studio.

1. Angela Han, also known as Qi Han, is a highly skilled pianist who holds a master's degree in music with double majors of piano performance and piano pedagogy. She is a certified piano teacher through the prestigious Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC). Han started playing the piano at an early age and has received exceptional instruction from renowned teachers worldwide, including Professor Tang Zhe of the Shanghai Conservatory and international piano maestro Valery Kuleshov. Han has performed in various concerts both locally and internationally, and her expertise has been recognized through various awards given to her students at different competitions.

Besides the piano, Han has also mastered several Chinese traditional instruments such as the erhu, flute, and gourd cucurbit. Her recitals demonstrate a blend of classical and modern styles with a well-rounded and vibrant tonality that evokes different emotions. Han's interpretive skills reveal her knowledge and expertise, as her playing captivates her audience.

2. Dr. Bi obtained his music education from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China, where he received his bachelor’s degree, and the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned his doctoral degree in composition. He has over ten years of experience teaching music theory and aural skills to both major and non-major students at the University of Maryland, and he has taught piano at the University of Delaware Community Music School, as well as various music studios and private institutions. Bi has been invited to give talks and presentations on music theory and compositional skills worldwide.

Alex Bi is an accomplished pianist and performer who has trained professionally on performing piano and organ. He has extensive experience in solo and collaborative piano, having performed with several soloists, chamber ensembles, choirs, symphony orchestras, and opera theatres. Alex has refined his collaborative piano skills under the guidance of some of the distinguished pianists like Dr. Charles Abramovic and Prof. Howard Watkins. Alex has composed music in various genres, including classical, Chinese folk music, world, popular, and jazz, and has had his commissions performed internationally.
