About
Ever since I was a young girl, there were two passions that I aspired to pursue in life. Firstly, I wanted to dedicate myself to a musical career and master playing the violin and piano. Secondly, I wished to impart my love of music to others through teaching, just like my own educators who inspired me. Having lived in Taiwan, Germany, and the United States, I have observed how teachers in different cultures approach music instruction. My diverse experience studying music across various continents, countries, and traditions gives me a unique vantage point to enhance music education for students.
As a teacher of violin, viola, or piano, I strive to kindle the love of music in people's hearts and help them experience the joy of playing.
Qualifications: Master of Music in Violin Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.

My two children have been under the tutelage of Iris for the past year and I am satisfied with her teaching both violin and piano. She has a flair for modifying her teaching methods to fit each child's specific needs. For instance, my seven-year-old son was taught note transcription to enhance his concentration, whereas my five-year-old daughter with attention issues was trained with the use of a cardboard cutout with her name to keep her attentive during lessons.
I am content with the progress my kids have made under Iris and would highly recommend her as an instructor.
