Our mission is to enhance the appearance of your garden by providing aesthetic and seasonal pruning, fruit tree care, sourcing of organic vegetable plants, diagnosis of diseases, and non-toxic remedies. As a California native plant specialist, with over 25 years of experience as a local botanist, I have a thorough understanding of wild plants and their application in garden settings. Additionally, I am a wildlife gardener and biologist, specializing in designing butterfly and pollinator gardens. I specialize in designing low water gardens with Mediterranean climate plants while incorporating your vision and preferences to create your ideal garden space, whether it be formal, informal, naturalistic, or to replicate a favorite location. We provide garden clean-ups, rejuvenation, and new installations. I have studied habitat restoration classes and have apprenticed and supervised maintenance crews at Four Dimensions Landscape Company in Oakland. As a 30+ year resident of the area and an Oakland native, I grew up exploring the East Bay hill area wild plant communities. With over 25 years of experience in gardening, botany, horticulture, naturalism, and wildlife biology (BA UC Berkeley), I continue to upgrade my knowledge by taking courses, consuming online content, purchasing and reading subject area books, and consulting with colleagues.
