About
My specialty is handling all interior styles. Here's how my process works:
1. To begin, call or email me to set up a free initial consultation. This meeting is designed to be productive, and during our hour or hour-and-a-half conversation, I'll give you plenty of free ideas.
At this meeting, we'll also review a binder of magazine photos I've collected. As you flip through the pictures, you'll be able to share your preferences and dislikes. This will give me a clear vision of your desired style, which is a vital part of my selection process. If you have your own photos to share, even better!
2. After our consultation, I'll provide a proposal for the entire project. The proposal lists everything necessary to design your home based on our discussions. My hourly fee is $130, but a flat fee can be determined based on the scope of work. Any purchases you make through my firm will be sold to you at my net or discounted rate, plus a 20% fee to expedite the purchase.
3. If we agree to work together, the real fun begins. At our second meeting, I'll present you with actual selections and examples of the design concepts we discussed. From there, we'll shop, get quotes, establish a budget, and begin assembling your interior design.
Clients appreciate that I approach the entire project as a cohesive whole. Regardless of when you purchase individual items, having the overall plan and pricing in mind allows the implementation process to go more smoothly. With an a-la-carte listing of all the design elements, you can prioritize what to purchase and plan for future additions as funds become available. I've worked with many loyal clients over the years, carefully completing one project at a time.
I believe designing your home should be a fun experience, which is why I don't operate as a design dictator. Inspiration can come from anywhere (even a UPS delivery person!), as long as the selection excites you. It's important to interview multiple designers before making a connection with the right person.

Though we originally requested that Dave address interior design for our walls and windows, he provided expert advice on other design choices as well. He suggested a palette to unify all of the elements while keeping the room family-friendly. Despite the fact that we had a limited budget, Dave was able to work within it and efficiently demonstrate that great design can be affordable.
