About
Dan Oved, the founder of the Blue Prairie Dogs, is a multi-talented singer and songwriter who has been entertaining crowds since 1991 with the band's unique blend of zesty southwestern folk music, as well as classic country, western, and folk rock tunes. In recent years, Dan has expanded his repertoire to include popular campfire songs and regularly invites both youngsters and adults to sing along with him. As he explains, music has always been a central part of his life, and he has played both piano and violin from an early age. As he discovered his passion for music, he began exploring new sounds through guitar playing, songwriting, and harmonies with other band members. The group was amazing! Their music was incredibly enjoyable and even prompted us to dance a little (although we were exhausted from our performance). Additionally, a member of the audience who performs similar music in various venues was thoroughly impressed with their talent.

Two performers from the Blue Prairie Dogs arrived early to set up and began entertaining my guests within minutes. Since I didn't have adequate space for a full band, their duo was perfect. They delivered on the songs I had requested ahead of time and even accommodated a song request shouted out by one of the guests! Their vocals were impressive and their guitar accompaniment was beautiful. I would highly recommend this group and eagerly consider hiring them again. Dan and Pete, you guys were a hit - my guests were raving about you and lovingly singing along. Thumbs up all the way!
