A man came to clean my gutters and I believe he did a good job. When it was time to pay, I asked him how he wanted to be paid and he suggested using Cash App. I promptly asked for his phone number and sent the payment. Later, I asked if he would be interested in doing some carpentry finish work inside and he agreed. He came in to assess the work and agreed to send over a quote, which I have yet to receive. He returned to say he did not receive the Cash App payment because he provided the wrong phone number, though his name and face were on the profile. He claimed he lost his phone and that the app on his old phone was not active. I trusted him and resent the payment to an alternative Cash App. He then claimed that account was closed and suggested I obtain a refund from Cash App, but that never happened. I paid him twice and felt cheated. I caution others about using him, based on my experience. Note that his name appears twice in my payment profile.
