For around 5 years, Sam has been my teacher. Before that, I was self-taught for most of the last 15 years and needed to learn particular techniques specific to my style and genre of playing (Metal-tech death/progressive/speed). Sam is the ideal teacher for someone at my intermediate experience level, and every session with her has been enjoyable and informative. Her methodical approach to learning and tackling guitar technicalities has given me structure to my musical journey as a guitarist. I have learned things from her that I could not have discovered by simply watching YouTube videos. If you want to push your guitar-playing boundaries, play in a band, or learn to play guitar properly as a beginner or someone with a few years of experience, then Sam is the person to go to. I highly recommend her, 10/10!

Since February 2021, I have been enrolled in guitar classes at Rose City Guitar Company, and my experience thus far has been exceptional. Under the tutelage of both teachers, Amber and Samantha, I have had the opportunity to progress my skills at a pace that suited my experience level. My classes have all been remote, but learning over Zoom has been seamless and well-organized. Additional aids such as Dropbox and OneNote have been employed so that students can monitor their improvement. The biggest advantage of the classes, however, are the teachers. Their attentive teaching methods have been reassuring, ensuring students continue to thrive. With their constant feedback and advice on how to improve, I have been able to progress faster and adapt to the style of guitar I am passionate about. For anyone interested in learning guitar of any level, I highly recommend Rose City Guitar Company.
