I base my teaching approach on the beneficial mental and physical techniques outlined by Sports Psychology research. These methods assist my students in overcoming psychological obstacles and achieving consistent high-level performance. My teachings focus on developing control of both mental and muscular functions, accuracy, precision, discipline, mental awareness, and overall coordination when playing the violin. I also share research on performance anxiety, stage fright, and other barriers that hinder a student's ability to perform under pressure.

By evaluating my student's performances, I craft personalized daily practice plans that hone their physical and psychological symptoms, ultimately improving their overall performance. I strive to show the correlation between mental and physical performance and teach with the utmost respect for the repertoire.

Musicians and athletes alike require high levels of technical skill, composure, intense focus, and concentration; all of which must be continually refined through practice, training, discipline, and dedication.

Performing music and sports share many similarities; they require mastery of the mind and body, are forms of self-expression, and demand excellence while under pressure. By incorporating methods developed by Sports Psychology research, musicians can elevate both the quality and consistency of their performances. My students have achieved success in auditions, festivals, music programs, and performances, and consistently show a positive attitude towards practice.
